Special thanks to @coreyrangel for interviewing us for ABC15 here in Phoenix!
Jason (@jason_warner) & I (@ triphx) have been doing a full-body workout 5 days a week at noon despite the 110ยบ temperatures, Corey saw our crazy posts on Twitter and thought it’d make a good piece for ABC15 during the extreme heat warnings. He did a great job of condensing our daily 45-minute routine into a 1 minute story and share the “workout like a couple of kids” part of the story.
How do you get a great workout – albeit hard & hot – and still have fun?
- Make the workout enjoyable & repeatable
- If you have a partner make sure you work together (medicine ball tosses, etc.)
- Include some “play” into the workout (throw a football for some sprinting drills, chase each other, play games, etc.)
- Set a goal for your routine and make sure you hit it. If you have a partner, help each other reach your goals.
- Have fun. You can still have fun even if you don’t like some of the exercises by pushing through the tough ones and focusing on the fun ones.
- Save some fun exercises for the end so you have something to look forward to.
Jason looks forward to running football patterns at the end of our workout; we get some sprinting disguised as playing into the workout. It also gives us a chance to “leave it all on the field” at the end.
Here’s a breakdown of our workout: Hot Circuit
